I understand the stress that comes with a high demanding job and appreciate the comfort, tranquility, and relaxation a spa atmosphere provides. I turned to exercise and aromatherapy to help me. Anytime I felt overwhelmed I would apply a blend of essential oils I made to help with my emotions and calm me. I started using oil in the bath, on an eye pillow before bed, in the car on the way to work. I started noticing changes in my mood once I was using the essential oils. Through my transitioning to a more mindful lifestyle, I have found it is so important to schedule in time to yourself. It could be going for a walk, reading a book, having a glass of wine or catching up with a friend. Do whatever it is that makes you happy! We should be taking time for ourselves everyday. Be Happy, Be Healthy.
Life is now! By changing my mindset, creating small daily action steps, taking care of my health physically, mentally and emotionally I’ve become revived! Once I started taking care of my health I started noticing shifts in my attitude and relationships. I started putting myself first and making sure I took the time to create healthy meals and exercise. There are some days I just didn’t want to, so I’d use an uplifting blend to motivate me to complete the task. I was feeling anxious driving sometimes so I’d use a blend in the car to help with my stress. I’d use another blend before meetings, presentations, basically anything I was feeling overwhelmed or fearful about.
My goal is to support women with solutions for a healthy, happy and present life. I support in gaining confidence, and creating simple healthy habits for themselves and their families. I think it’s really important for people to have positive, inspiring and supportive environments. I want to support women from being reactive to proactive. A lot of times we seek help when we are at our breaking point. I provide a space for you to come, relax and have a full hour dedicated specifically to you.
I attended my aromatherapy training with Joyessence which is an approved training school through the Canadian federation of aromatherapists. My reflexology training I attended Living Essentials which is an approved school through the Reflexology Registration Council of Ontario. Being part of an association holds me the therapist accountable and ensures I remain current with information and providing you with the best possible service.
I really wanted to learn more for myself about ways to use essential oils and how to help others. Especially now having a little one, I’m even more mindful of her environment. I’ve been known to take out some of my oils from time to time if I see someone needing emotional support. It’s pretty amazing to see within a few minutes the person starting to relax. By learning about aromatherapy it has opened others opportunities for me and I’ve connected with wonderful women. I plan to take further training to be able to provide other services in the future such as hot stone massage.
